There are a number of agencies and websites that can help employers with a wide range of issues, from finding employees to finding programs to support new hires. Although this list is not exhaustive many of the sites listed here will help as a starting point for many employers.

New Graduates, Co-Op Students, Apprentices or Summer Students:
Locally, Lambton College offers a number of programs for employers to help them find new employees, apprentices, or summer students.
Lambton College Employment Services is located at 4248 Oil Heritage Road in Petrolia. Their trained professional consultants have the knowledge and expertise to assist you in your search for a new employee.

- Free workshops: Workplace Safety, HR Practices, Information on Accommodation Needs, Resolving Conflict at Work, Needs Assessments-Identifying the skills necessary to perform the work required

Lambton College’s myCareer Centre helps employers find the right co-op or graduating student to meet their specific needs. The centre also helps employers access tax credits, post jobs through their on-line job board, meet students through on-campus recruitment events and interviews, and even identify potential corporate training opportunities that can be provided through the College.
The Summer Jobs Service program is funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and benefits employers by providing a $2 per-hour wage incentive to those who hire a student during the summer. Lambton College can help employers access this funding and also access good quality candidates for these positions.

London-Sarnia Regional Council of ACFO – Provides settlement services for French speaking newcomers to Canada.
The Workplace Group – Connects job seekers and employers throughout the Sarnia-Lambton area including an on-line job posting service.
Goodwill Industries – Job Placement team can assist employers with various services to recruit appropriate candidates for positions.
Employment Ontario Sarnia Apprenticeship Office – Provides resources for employers and employees working in registered trades.
Employment Transitions – Enables those with disabilities or other significant employment challenges to re-enter the workforce.
Local Workplace Safety Resources:
Sarnia-Lambton Industrial Educational Co-operative (IEC) is an organization of 19 industrial companies in Sarnia-Lambton, plus Lambton College. They provide safety training to over 200 industrial contracting firms who service the IEC member companies’ industrial sites. This training and co-operation has led to an enviable safety record for the area.
Workers Health & Safety Centre – Trains workers and workplace representatives to carry out their legal rights and responsibilities as provided by occupational health and safety law.

Breaking Barriers to Business: Accessibility Sarnia-Lambton – Works with businesses and agencies to develop creative, customized solutions to their accessibility barriers.
IDEA Leadership Academy – Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility eLearning program that equips organizations with the knowledge and tools needed to build, attract, onboard, and sustain a diverse and inclusive workforce. This program aims to support learners as they develop and nurture an inclusive organizational culture that values and supports diversity, ensuring long-term success and employee engagement.
