SARNIA, ON: The Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership (SLEP) has won gold in an international competition that honours excellence in digital creativity.The AVA Digital Awards recently announced its 2021 winners, giving SLEP top marks for a series of videos and online content about the value of locating an innovative business in the Sarnia-Lambton area.The series of 12 videos showcase successful local businesses, highlighting the Sarnia-Lambton area�s key role in innovation across all sectors including manufacturing, clean technologies, information technology and agriculture.�We are very proud of the award-winning video series that we will use for marketing the Sarnia-Lambton area both in the short-term and in the future,� said SLEP�s CEO Stephen Thompson. �The companies that participated will also be able to use this high-quality content for their own marketing purposes.�A digital marketing campaign has been launched to showcase the Sarnia-Lambton area�s position for strategic growth. The campaign shares these powerful and innovative business success stories directly to industry leaders and innovators seeking high-value investment opportunities, including new or secondary locations for their companies. Running until the end of March, this targeted campaign has promoted these success stories to an audience of nearly 1-million, specifically in the areas of sustainable technologies, advanced manufacturing, agriculture and food, as well as creative industries and Information Technology.�The videos demonstrate that innovation is thriving across the Sarnia-Lambton area - which is fantastic news, as innovation becomes increasingly important in economies of the future,� added Thompson.The video series builds upon the momentum established by the Intelligent Sarnia-Lambton Taskforce (ISL) that led to Sarnia-Lambton earning the prestigious Top7 recognition from the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) in 2019. This innovative video series is a valuable marketing resource for ongoing and future ISL initiatives, to grow innovation and intelligent community principles across the Sarnia-Lambton area.Local companies highlighted in the video series include: Woodland Biofuels Inc., LCY Biosciences, Twin Pines Orchards ; Cider House, Twin Creeks Greenhouses Inc., Munro Honey ; Meadery, Link2Feed, Forward Water Technologies, ClearCare, LamSar Inc., Advanced Finishing Technologies, Roelands Plant Farms Inc. and Lamperd Less Lethal.In addition, a five-minute video was also produced focusing on what the community offers to innovative business and why they thrive in the Sarnia-Lambton area.
