Ethyl Canada’s Corunna plant has been bought by a new company called Dockside Industrial Park Incorporated. President and Owner Jon McEachran confrims Ethyl has approved their offer to purchase the site.
McEachran says they plan to lease property out to companies in the area. He says they’ve already been contacted by some people in industry who may want to lease out some of the infrastructure on site. There’s an office building, rail siding and storage tanks.
Ethyl distributed letters to its neighbours saying the plant is closing after 57 years and the site will be vacated on or before November 15. About 30 Ethyl employees and contractors, still on site, are impacted by the closure.
