Sarnia, ON – The Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park is excited to announce that Wolverine Engineering, the newly formed engineering division of Wolverine Contracting and Engineering, has become its latest tenant.

Dr. Katherine Albion, Executive Director of the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park, expressed her enthusiasm about the announcement. “Wolverine Engineering’s decision to locate at the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park is a strong endorsement of the innovation ecosystem that Sarnia-Lambton and the Research Park seek to deliver. The establishment of technology hubs, such as our growing engineering hub, within the Park enhances collaboration between Park companies, resulting in economic benefits for the region.”

“We’ve always been focused on continuous improvement and value-added services for our customers. We want to ensure we’re best in class when it comes to our level of service, and this just proves our commitment level,” said Ken Barrett, President of Wolverine.

This expansion is driven by the addition of two highly experienced local professionals, Mike Thompson, VP of Business Development and Paul Croft, VP of Project Execution. Mike and Paul bring with them a wealth of expertise in engineering services, business operations, and leadership, as well as a deep understanding of building and nurturing local relationships.

When asked about the expansion, Mike Thompson said, “It’s definitely exciting for everyone involved because local facilities have never had the option for a truly integrated project approach like this. To be able to provide a ‘one-stop-shop’ for all project needs and let everyone know that, whether it’s one aspect of a project or a complete design-build solution, we’ve got it covered and we have the team to successfully deliver.” Paul Croft added, “We have a top-notch team in all areas. From the top down, we’re all very aligned when it comes to culture, customer service, and project delivery. We have an opportunity to really improve the landscape in the industry and we’re all very excited.”

The Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership (SLEP) recognizes the broader impact of Wolverine Engineering’s expansion on the local economy. Matthew Slotwinski, CEO of Sarnia Lambton Economic Partnership noted, “Wolverine Engineering’s establishment at the Research Park is a testament to the growth and innovation happening right here in Sarnia-Lambton.
